Institutions

In Farinha, Institutions are described according to the ISDIAH standard. They are the main “Place”, and from them the internal organization can be represented by Sectors and their lower levels.

Who can do it

  • SuperAdmin: creates/edits Institutions in the internal panel and defines sensitive settings.
  • Place Admin: acts within the scope of the Place (for example, creating Fonds/Collections), according to permissions.

User validation type (Automatic x manual validation (Curation))

When configuring an Institution, define how user access will work:

  • Automatic: the user activates the account through the e-mail link and can access the system immediately.
  • Manual validation (Curation): in addition to the e-mail link, the user must be approved by a Validator/SuperAdmin (in the internal panel).

Filling recommendations

  • Fill in the essential fields first (name, identifier, and contact information).
  • Keep contact and location data consistent: this facilitates use, navigation, and, when enabled, map display.
